Store Associates

Save-a-lot is looking for experienced grocery associates to join us at our Columbus, GA location.

Meat Cutters

should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of previous meat cutting experience including the use of hand tools and power equipment such as knives, slicers, cubing machine and a power saw.

Perishable Clerks

must be able to cut and/or package authorized beef, pork and poultry items; use of hand tools and power equipment such as knives, slicers, cubing machine and a power saw is a plus. Perishable Clerks will also trim and package authorized fresh produce according to company guidelines and policies.

Store Clerks

will perform a variety of tasks including cashiering, stocking, and cleaning. Previous experience working in a meat and/or produce department is a plus. Around here, we produce leaders 24/7.Whether you’re helping a customer provide for their family or making sure our products are delivered on time, you’re doing work with a purpose at Save-A-Lot.

Annual Breakfast Honors Women of Courage in Medicine

Columbus, GA -- In the crisp early dawn morning of March the 5th, hundreds of courageous souls gathered at Columbus Convention and Trade Center for the Annual Rosa Parks Women of Courage Breakfast. Four local women in medicine were honored during. The women are all successful doctors whose contributions have made a significant impact in their communities and on the city as well. This year's guest speaker is Dr. Valeries Montgomery Rice, the Dean and Executive Vice President of Morehouse School of Medicine. The honorees this year were: Dr. Kathryn K. Cheek, Rivertown Pediatrics, President Georgia Chapter American Academy of Pediatrics

Will There Be Justice For Trayvon Martin?

“I am Trayvon Martin!” “I am Trayvon Martin!” “I am Trayvon Martin!” Those chants were heard during the "Million Hoodie March" that took place in NYC recently because of the murder that happened on February 26, 2012 of 17-year old Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman along with the fact that Zimmerman was not arrested, and at press time still was a free man.
