The Controllers Are Back on Top!

Columbus, GA – The Controllers Civic and Social Club, Inc. are back on top. The club members, men and women, are known for their distinguished red jackets. The guests at any event can spot them in the blink of an eye. Some of the members were at the 2024 Black History Month Observance Breakfast held February 19. The keynote speaker was U. S. Congressman Hakeem Jeffries.

And to add to the list of what the club does, they can be seen in the community giving back in a large way. No matter where they are, the members are in their red jackets, ready to help in person, with gifts and other forms of support.

As an example, The Controllers gave away turkey baskets to over 80 families at the Family Center in November.   Then in December, they held their Annual Christmas Dance to raise funds for  their Toy Drive Giveaway. As planned, on December 18, 2024, they gave away $7,000.00 worth of toys to over 120 children.

In the past, The Controllers Civic and Social Club, Inc. have been the official escorts for the Anniversary Gala of The Columbus Times Newspaper called “Head and Shoulders Above The Rest. We appreciate their commitment.

2024 is just beginning to create exciting adventures for the hard-working men and women of The Controllers Civic and Social Club, Inc. So watch our website and newspaper for more positive news about them.
