Give Recognition and Considerations To Those Deserving Business..

Give them your continued, loyal support for they are worthy of your patronage -- you can see them in the pages of The Columbus Times Newspaper.

The Businesses that advertise with your community newspaper which records the positive side of African American (Black) life, help to keep our community secure and safe, give our children hope, and faith.

The first Black college graduate, Mr. John Russwurm, was so grateful and in understanding the merits of African Americans owning their own newspapers that he personally started the first Black newspaper in the United States of America.

Philosophy:

The African-American (Black) press has traditionally been the voice of the Black community since its inception on March 16, 1827.

The Columbus Times Newspaper  proudly carries the weight of that respected role. We pride ourselves on locating and reporting the positive aspects of our community, the success stories and the achievements. At the same time, we keep our reader informed of those issues and events of importance on the local, regional, national and international levels.

We strongly fell the necessity and importance of the Black press and appreciate those who ensure its existence - you, the advertisers and subscribers. In return for your support, we make it point to inform our readers of the necessity of utilizing those businesses who support their newspaper, The Columbus Times.

Our motto is "Support Our Advertisers."
