The popular Horsemanship Program returns to Wetherby Field from 9am-2pm. April 14. This free, family event includes demonstrations in basic horse care, riding demonstrations, opportunities to ride and more.  Children younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. World renowned jump-rope artist and Olympic wrestler Buddy Lee will host a free Get Fit, Be Strong jump rope workshop from 3:30-5:30pm April 13 and 9-11am April 14 at the CYSS gym on Youth Services Campus on McIver Street. Lee and his Jump Rope Masters exhibition team will teach participants various basic skills, including jump roping, kick boxing, yoga and more. Parents are encouraged to attend the April 14th session, where they will be invited to join in the games and competitions. Prizes and scholarships will be awarded, and every child will receive a free jump rope. All participants must be registered for this event by April 10. Call 706-545-3070.

The annual Bark to the Park is 4:30-6:30pm April 12 at the dog park on Zuckerman Avenue by the CYSS sports fields. This free event includes refreshments for people and pups and canine agility competitions. For more information, call 706-545-9636.
