Metro Columbus Golf Association Presents Scholarships
By Times Staff Writer Columbus, GA – The Metro Columbus Golf Association held their First Annual Golf Tournament on April 14, 2012 at Oxbow Creek Golf Course in the city. The tournament was held to raise funds for scholarships. The following students received scholarships for achievement in the 2012 school term. The scholarship recipients are: Mr. Christen Hadley, Shaw High School Class of 2012 Golf team who will be attending Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Al, $500; Mr. Travis Perry, Spencer High School Class of 2012, State wide award $500; and Miss Rachel Cantrell, Spencer High School Class of 2012 Valedictorian $500.00 scholarship.
