Club Holds First Yellow Rose Dance

By Times Staff Writer Photos by Edward Lamboy. Columbus, GA – The Greater Columbus National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club held its first Annual Yellow Rose Dance. The dance was held as a means of raising funds for the community projects supported by the club. Mrs. Lois Williams is the president. Performing for the event was Lissen, a male vocal group in the city. The mission of the club is to promote and protect the interests of African American business and professional women; to serve as a bridge for young people seeking to enter business and the professions; to improve the quality of life in the local and global communities; and to foster good fellowship.
