Fields Tells Columbus To “Step Out Of The Box”
By Times Staff Writer Columbus, GA – March is National Women’s History Month and annually, Davis Broadcasting (WFXE, WOKS, WEAM and WKJZ radio stations) holds its Women’s Empowerment Luncheon. This year’s speaker was the dynamic actress Kim Fields. The theme was: Stepping Outside of the box/Overcoming New Challenges. Ms. Fields kept the audience’s attention as she described the box and spoke about stepping outside the box. It’s year 10 for the luncheon. According to Mrs. Cheryl Davis, executive with Davis Broadcasting, over 1200 attended the popular luncheon. There were plenty of vendors on hand and hundreds of guests went shopping

Women’s Organization Remembers Women’s History
By Times Staff Writer Columbus, GA – Women’s organization remembers Women’s History Month. The Columbus-Phenix City club of The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc., observed Women’s History Month on Sat., March 3, 2012 at the Mildred L. Terry Library, Veterans Parkway, in the city.
