Doubling Down On The Fight Against Older American Hunger
(NAPSI)—Nearly 9 million Americans 50 and older are currently struggling with hunger or lacking sufficient nutrition and food resources. And the problem is predicted to increase 75 percent by 2025, according to AARP Foundation. Fortunately, an effort to eradicate this growing problem is under way and gaining traction. Since AARP and AARP Foundation launched Drive to End Hunger last year, the initiative has donated more than 6.6 million meals and driven corporate and individual donor commitments with an expected value of $18.1 million.
